Bougainvillea is a wonderful climbing plant, with strong colors and pink tones, which transports us to Mediterranean countries, summer, and hot days by the sea.
This climbing plant was already an inspiration in my favorite drawings when I was a little girl, as I already showed a lot of creativity and a love of drawing and music.
I loved to draw the blue sea, a small sailboat on the water, a mountain, and, on the hillside, a small white house with a red tile roof and a bougainvillea climbing up the wall. These were my drawings, which probably foreshadowed the love I would come to have, for flowers and plants, but also my dream of faraway places in the Mediterranean, now explained by my passion fortravelling.
To my delight, today I discovered that my bougainvillea, which I had planted at the end of August, already has its first flowers, a dark pink and red shade, the color of strawberries.
Once again, I must say that creating something as beautiful as planting flowers and watching them develop with the care and affection we give them, the fruits we harvest from the tree, after contributing to their development by watering them every day and then removing the spoiled fruits, after all that dedication, picking the ripe fruit, seeing the flowers bloom and grow, all of this gives me small pleasures in life.
Nature and animals always repay us with greatness and unconditional love.

Trifle - my style
My trifle recipe is very simple to make and everyone loves it.
The first persimmons picked from the tree and immediately “devoured.”
For me, one of the greatest joys, and on days of inspiration, is to use a new recipe taken from the internet, or one of the recipes passed down from mother to daughter. Other times, they are quickly “scribbled” in a notebook during long sessions watching 24 Kittchen—I never get tired of it, especially when it's with Jamie Oliver, Annabel Langbein, Nigella Lawson, Nigel Slater, or Mary Berry. There are few greater pleasures, than picking fruit and vegetables straight from the garden to cook and eat with the family, under the porch when the weather permits, or in the comfort of the kitchen with the kids, sisters, and boyfriends. At this time of year, my vegetable garden will start to show some improvement thanks to certain changes I have made to the vegetables, fruit and flower garden. The fruit trees have been freed from low-hanging fruit, which damages the branches and takes strength away from other fruits, so that they can ripen with more strength, color, and sweetness.
My Halloween recipe - Pumkin soup
It's not Halloween yet, but fall has already begun, and although the weather in Portugal is still warm—today, on the last day of September, it's 26 degrees Celsius with blue skies and sunshine—but the weather changes are already noticeable.
Today's movie proposal: She said maybe, from Netflix
Today I'm going to tell you about the latest film that has had an impact on me in some way.Right now, I'm on a Turkish kick: I want to learn a few Turkish words and, as I shared in my last blog post, I want to try lots of Turkish recipes, especially desserts.I've already made Baklava, but it needs some improvement.. Dolma, grape leaves stuffed with meat and rice, is another thing I'm eager to try and share with you.Today I'm going to talk about my last favorite romantic comedy: Netflix movie “She Said Maybe!”For now, it portrays the connection between many young people of Turkish origin living in Germany, and this connection will take a young couple to their parents' homeland, Turkey. From the beginning, I was captivated by the vibrant colors and stunning landscapes, something you expect in romantic comedies and that keeps you glued to the screen so you don't miss a single scene. Then, of course, there is the story of the roots of a wealthy family from Istanbul, with all its glamour, parties, and luxurious hotels, and the central plot: losing the love of your life for a million-dollar inheritance. Is it “worth all the money in the world”? Why did I write this sentence? If you want to know the reason, you'll have to watch the movie, because I can't tell you everything, right?
Baklava recipe - a famous Turkish dessert
